AC-DC Modules Test Report

In this blog, we will test two AC-DC modules output situations. The test aims to examine the output ripple of each AC-DC module under the circumstance of different load current. These two modules all can be sold on ITEAD’s imall.

Test1: AC Input 220V 50Hz without any filter capacitor accessing

The table below shows the relation of the output ripple peak value, effective value, and the load current. Please pay attention that all data are instant values, their actual values range around the instant values.

Test 4: Output Voltage in different load current

From the figure above, it is safe to say that the output capacity of these two modules is about the same.

Summary

According to the tests above, in the situation with no external filter capacitor, both two modules have big ripple. However, when they have two filter capacitors accessed, the output of V2 module has an obvious improvement and the output ripple of V2 module is smaller tham V1 module. Therefore, V2 module has a better performance than V1 module and meets the normal power supply input requirements.
