Arduino RTC Clock, Time+Date on OLED Display

This is a nice little project that shows the Time and Date onto a OLED Module. This project supports changing time or day on OLED manually. Would work good as a little bed side clock so you know what time it is when you get up. Let's see how we make it.

Components we need:

Connection

As the OLED display module only works in 3.3V, Iteaduino UNO’s switch shall choose 3.3V level.
The connections between all modules and Iteaduino UNO are as below table:

2. Demo Uploading

Before upload the demo, you should ensure that the following two library have been existed in your Arduino IDE arduino/libraries folder.

DS1307

SSD1306 OLED

Adafruit GFX library

After you upload the demo to UNO, you will see the OLED display showing the information including week, date and time. You can use the joystick to change the time and date.

Press the Joystick, the time on OLED display will stop, which means it enters into time changing mode and the parameter in a white background is the chosen parameter. How to change the time? In joystick module, there are two direction – Y &X. You can choose the parameter you want to change by turning the joystick right or left in X axis. You can plus or minus 1 to the value each time by turning the joystick up and down in Y axis.
