Free ARM Cortex M3 development platform : coocox

Coocox is the abbreviation of “Cooperation On Cortex”. It offers users an ARM development platform with the free software and the open source hardware.

Usually we develop our ARM project with the professional software like IAR Embedded Workbench, Keil RealView MDK. But these software is not free and you must pay for it. Now Coocox offer us the free way to develop our project.

  • CoBuilder is a completely component-based embedded development environment which integrates abundant components, examples and documents to reduce development time. Especially, it is perfect for the developers who work with Cortex M3 MCUs.

  • CoDebugger is a debugger which was designed based on Eclipse platform’s sub-projects DSDP (Device Software Development Platform). It integrates the leanest graphical user interface and the most frequently used debugging tools. CoDebugger supports debugging a CoBuilder or CDT project or an ELF file.

  • CoFlash is a Cortex M3 Flash Programmer which supports both GUI and command line user interface. It integrates the frequently used functions of programming and erasing full chip or sectors. CoFlash supports programming a .bin or .elf file.
