How to Get a Fixed MAC Address on Iteaduino Plus

In some applications, you may want to have a relatively fixed IP address for Iteaduino Plus. However, there is no fixed MAC address for Iteaduino Plus, as it is randomly assigned by the system each time when booting, while no fixed MAC address will result in different IP addresses obtained from DHCP server each time. In order to get fixed MAC address, we can modify file script.bin.

Follow the steps below:
1, Download and install the software needed

          sudo apt-get install pkg-config libusb-1.0
          sudo apt-get install git-core

2, Download the compiling tool. Assume the current location is /home/linaro/Document

	  git clone git://github.com/linux-sunxi/sunxi-tools.git
	  cd sunxi-tools
	  make

After compiling, you can find two executable programs fex2bin and bin2fex in /home/linaro/Document/sunxi-tools
3,Mount mmcblk0p1, copy script.bin to folder sunxi-tools

          mkdir /mnt/mmcblk0p1
	  mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/ mmcblk0p1
	  cp /mnt/mmcp1/script.bin/home/linaro/Document/sunxi-tools

4, Convert script.bin into script.fex

	  ./bin2fex script.bin>./script.fex

5, Edit script.fex using vi or nano and add the following sentence in the last line of file

          [dynamic]
	  MAC = "AABBCCDDEEFF"

AABBCCDDEEFF is the expected MAC address

6, Convert script.fex into script.bin and overwrite the original file

          ./fex2bin script.fex>./script.bin
	  cp ./script.bin /mnt/ mmcblk0p1 /

7, Then reboot the system, you will find that MAC address turns into the one you wanted.
